About Arson Theory
Arson Theory was created by artists and industry professionals who wanted to build something simple and true. A place where musicians can release their work globally, stay in control of their rights, and reach new audiences without giving up what makes their art theirs. Every artist begins with access to our distribution and publishing platform. Select artists may be invited into deeper creative partnership based on momentum, fit, and shared vision. Developed with intention. Built with artists.
We strive to provide our creators with the highest quality of service possible, so access to Arson Theory's services is by invitation only. The fastest way to receive an invitation to Arson Theory is by a referral from our existing clients. Alternatively, you may request an invite by filling out this form.
Please note that multiple submissions will not be considered; please only submit one application. We will only reach out if accepted.
Each application goes through a detailed review process to ensure that those accepted onto Arson Theory's platform will be best served. The length of this process depend on the volume of applications we receive. We will contact you directly if your application has been accepted.
Once users grant authorization to connect their social networks, Arson Theory will collect data on their behalf in order to provide each user the ability to streamline multi-network publishing and access a centralized analytics dashboard. This analytics dashboard will display and analyze key metrics including content performance, video engagement, revenue generated, and any user-generated content (UGC) claims. Arson Theory will be able to use this information to provide creators with actionable insights about how to improve their content's performance. Users can access their analytics on the web application here.

Rights Questions
Yes. Though you will grant Arson Theory an exclusive license to monetize/protect your content, you will retain 100% ownership of your copyrights. While you retain full ownership of your content, you cannot grant the same rights to other parties. Granting rights to multiple parties may cause a conflict and will not result in additional earnings. In fact, doing so may put your earnings on hold until the conflict is resolved.
If you are a Arson Theory user and have received a notification that Arson Theory is claiming your content, don't panic! This means that Arson Theory is claiming this content on your behalf. This is required in order for us to enforce your chosen protection policy on your content.
If you are not a Arson Theory user and got a claim – The majority of Arson Theory clients apply a monetize policy on their content. This allows your video to remain live and play on YouTube, however, this claim allows the rights holder to monetize the video accordingly.
Please note that no copyright strikes will occur so long as you allow Arson Theory's claim to remain.
YouTube Ownership Conflicts occur when another YouTube partner attempts to claim ownership over an exclusive copyright Arson Theory is also administering for you. Ownership Conflicts put your content's revenue on hold for as long as the conflicting party's ownership remains, so it is important to resolve these conflicts as soon as possible.
Please reach out to the conflicting party to request that they remove ownership of the assets in conflict.
When Arson Theory asks you for supporting documentation, please provide any and all agreements that prove your ownership or control of the content in question. These types of agreements should typically include the names of the contracting parties, the effective date, the specific content subject to the agreement, the term of the agreement, the rights that are being granted (including whether those rights are on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis) and should be signed by all parties.
Unfortunately, a copyright or P.R.O. (Performing Rights Organization) registration does not qualify as sufficient supporting documentation.
Our legal and rights management teams will review your documentation on a case-by-case basis.
Granting rights to Arson Theory and then selling the exclusive rights to a third-party breaches your Content License Agreement with Arson Theory and is therefore prohibited.
Non-exclusive licensing is permitted as long as there is no intent to sell exclusively. Please note that our Content team manually reviews releases to check for video descriptions such as “buy this beat” to prevent these violations.
